Wallcharts that provide step-by-step explanations of simple maths calculations

These charts provide simple explanations of the Subtraction operation. These can be used to demonstrate simple calculation steps in whole-class teaching and in one-to-one sessions. They also act as a good reference point for pupils.

Each pack comes with a teacher's guide that provides photocopiable versions of each chart, simple explanations of the steps and progressions, ideas for classroom activities, useful vocabulary and a listing of common calculation errors. These wallcharts have been designed with the NNS in mind and are based on their calculation strategies.
